Tagging leads & contacts
Tags are the flexible way to organize and segment your CRM. A tag lives on the contact (the person), so it follows them everywhere — you'll see the same tags whether you open them from Leads or from Contacts.
Automatic tags
When a lead comes in from your website, DispoStack tags them for you automatically:
- source:website — so you can always find your web leads
- funnel:cash-offer (or whichever funnel they completed) — so you can segment by campaign
You'll see these on the lead the moment it's created — no setup needed.
Adding your own tags
On any lead or contact, find the Tags card:
- 1Start typing a tag name — matching existing tags appear so you stay consistent.
- 2Pick one, or type a brand-new tag and press Enter to create it on the fly.
- 3Click the ✕ on a tag chip to remove it.
Use tags for anything you want to organize later — "hot", "callback", "cash only", a city, a marketing list, whatever fits how you work.
Tags can trigger workflows
Because tags fire the Tag added and Tag removed workflow triggers, you can automate off them — for example, tagging a lead vip could kick off a special follow-up sequence. Build these in Workflows.
Tip
Keep your tag names consistent (the type-ahead helps). If your list gets messy, you can rename, merge, or archive tags from the Contacts page.
