Your site's Privacy Policy and Terms
Every website you publish automatically includes a Privacy Policy and a Terms & Conditions page, linked in the footer. They're generated from a maintained template and filled in with your details — so a brand-new site has complete pages from day one.
Fill in your details
Open Website → Legal pages and add:
- Legal company name — the business name your policies apply to (defaults to
your site name if left blank).
- Governing-law state (and optional county), or a custom entry if you
operate outside the US.
- Contact email — where people can reach you about privacy or your terms. If
you leave it blank, the pages point visitors to your contact form.
- Business address (optional) and an effective date.
Save, and both pages update instantly. You can preview them with the links on the card.
If you turn on texting
When your texting feature is active, the pages automatically add an SMS section covering consent, how to opt out (reply STOP), how to get help (reply HELP), that message and data rates may apply, and that your contacts' opt-in information is never sold or shared. You don't have to do anything — it appears on its own.
Important
These pages are a helpful starting template, not legal advice. Laws differ by location and change over time. Have a qualified attorney review and adapt them before you rely on them.
