Opportunities: your deal pipeline board

Opportunities: your deal pipeline board

Opportunities is a deal pipeline — a drag-and-drop board that tracks each potential deal from first contact through to Won or Lost. It sits alongside your Leads list: a lead is someone you're working, an opportunity is the deal itself, with a dollar value and a stage on the board.

Turning it on

Opportunities is an early-access feature. If you open Opportunities in the left sidebar and see a "not available yet" message, contact us for early access and we'll switch it on for your account.

Where it lives

Click Opportunities in the left sidebar. You'll see a Kanban board: one column per stage, with each deal shown as a card you can drag between columns.

What's on a card

Each opportunity links to a contact and has:

  • A title (for example, the seller's name and property address)
  • A $ value — the deal size, so you can see your pipeline dollars at a glance
  • A stage — which column it sits in

The stages

By default the board has six stages, left to right:

New → Contacted → Negotiating → Under Contract → Won → Lost

Moving a deal is as simple as dragging its card into another column. That's the whole workflow — the board always reflects where every deal stands right now.

Renaming your stages

Owners and admins can tailor the columns to how you actually work. Click Manage stages to rename, add, or remove stages (you can have between 2 and 12). Your changes apply to the whole board.

Creating an opportunity

Two ways:

  1. 1From the Opportunities page — click New opportunity, pick the contact it's for, give it a title and (optionally) a value, and choose a stage.
  2. 2From a lead — open the lead and click Add to pipeline. That creates an opportunity linked to the lead's contact and drops it into your first stage. (The lead needs to be saved as a contact first; if it isn't, the button will tell you.)

Opportunities and Workflows

Opportunities and Workflows work together. Moving an opportunity to a new stage can kick off a workflow — for example, dragging a deal to "Under Contract" could text the seller a next-steps message and create a task for your closer. Set that up with an "Opportunity stage changed" trigger in Workflows. (See the Workflows help article.)
